The Southern Gas Association recently awarded Southern Star’s Data Analytics Team first place for its Engineering Innovation Award.
SGA representatives presented the award during the Natural Gas Connect meeting in San Antonio on July 15, 2019.
According to SGA’s website, the award recognizes engineering professionals or work groups who have developed and implemented innovative processes or programs.
Southern Star’ submission, Modernization through Data Analytics, highlighted how our team’s implementation of the OSIsoft PI System benefits our company. The PI System allows our team to analyze real-time data from our compression fleet, spot trends, and provides notifications when the data indicates issues may have occurred.
